Our Commitment to community
Since opening our doors in June 1999, Winthrop Marketplace has proudly been a part of the community we call home. From cooking and donating food for community event days, to preparing fruit and cheese platters for local cruises, supporting Winthrop Chamber events, handing out treats during Halloween, and contributing to schools, sports organizations, and the Senior Center — we’ve always believed in giving back to Winthrop.
Owners Marc and Chris bring not only their passion for family, friends, and community, but also a deep understanding of Winthrop’s unique character. That knowledge has been a driving force behind both our business and our ongoing community support.
Over the past two decades, more than 1,000 employees — many of them local high school students — have been part of our Marketplace family. We’re proud that several of our team members, including Kevin Miccichi (Store Manager), Brian Macrina (Store Manager), Theppi Carideo (Front End Supervisor), and Robby Pumphret (Administration), have been with us for over 20 years.
Even in challenging economic times, our promise remains the same: to stay actively involved in the community while providing a warm, clean, and welcoming store with fresh products and friendly service every day.
